About the role
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our National Sales team. Responsibilities
- Identify, engage and onboard new broker and referral partners within your territory
- Build and execute a strategic territory plan to achieve referral volume and revenue targets
- Motivate, train and enable partners to succeed with Prospa
- Present Prospa's value proposition confidently across diverse SME industries
- Grow and evolve partnerships by articulating clear mutual value and long‑term opportunity
- Maintain strong sales discipline, CRM accuracy and pipeline reporting
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to unlock growth opportunities
- Champion best‑practice sales and marketing execution across the channel
- Actively contribute to a high‑energy, high‑performance national sales culture
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in channel or partner sales
- Proven success managing a defined territory and key referral accounts
- Strong experience identifying and winning new referral partnerships
- Exposure to the finance broker market (highly regarded)
- Exceptional relationship‑building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commercial acumen with a deep understanding of SME customer drivers
- Confidence handling objections and coaching others to do the same
- Clear, persuasive communication-written and verbal
- A natural ability to be seen as a trusted partner, not just a salesperson
