About the role

Working across the London Borough of Barnet, you will undertake urgent Occupational Therapy and Moving & Handling Risk Assessments for complex cases requiring timely intervention. Complete urgent Occupational Therapy assessments across the borough. Undertake complex moving and handling risk assessments. Assess and recommend specialist equipment and interventions. Support carers and service users where there is a high risk of injury. Contribute to safeguarding investigations relating to equipment and manual handling concerns. Assess requests for increased care packages where manual handling assessments are required. Respond to urgent referrals involving unsafe transfers, mobility issues, and equipment failures. Work collaboratively with health, social care, and community partners. Referral Criteria Includes: You will assess referrals involving: Unsafe transfers and mobility situations presenting an immediate risk of injury. High-risk moving and handling concerns affecting service users or carers. Safeguarding concerns relating to equipment or manual handling. Equipment that is no longer fit for purpose and presents a significant safety risk. Requests for increased care support requiring specialist manual handling assessments. Palliative care cases where alternative specialist services are not involved.
