Job Description: The Assembly Team Leader (2nd Shift) is responsible for leading a cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic assembly professionals to build high-quality machinery. This role focuses on driving efficiency, ensuring safety, and promoting continuous improvement in all assembly processes. Essential Functions Lead and develop assembly team members to maximize efficiency, equipment value, cross-training, and employee growth. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging available tools and resources to reduce machine downtime and improve processes. Oversee adherence to standard work processes and identify ongoing training needs. Support planning and evaluation of future assembly equipment investments. Partner with the Quality team to address non-conformances, ensuring effective containment, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions. Ensure readiness for rapid response to meet customer needs and production demands. Proactively identify equipment issues and collaborate with Maintenance to schedule preventive maintenance activities. Promote and sustain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and training initiatives. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments; promptly address and correct unsafe conditions or practices. Monitor and forecast monthly business and financial commitments. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing or assembly experience. Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong technical expertise in machining, painting, fabrication, materials, blueprint reading, NC programs, routings, tooling, and fixturing. Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills. Proven problem-solving, planning, and scheduling capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements, including increasing throughput, reducing cycle time, and improving inventory turns.
