Entity: Customers & Products Job Family Group: HSSE Group Job Description: Let me tell you about the role The HSE specialist - Governance, Compliance and Risk is responsible for facilitating a series of bp processes to lead both risk and license to operate requirements in service of bp's goal of safe, reliable and compliant operations across our ANZ Mobility, Convenience and Midstream (MC&M) businesses. The role supports enterprise risk management across bp businesses in Australia and New Zealand and serves as a subject matter authority for risk and process safety related activities. It is responsible for guiding the business in implementing risk management standard methodology and advising on regulatory compliance. As the risk Subject Matter Expert (SME) the HSE Specialist holds accountability for management of the Safety and Operational (S&O) risk process. It also plays a key role in supporting the Finance team to manage both Strategic & Commercial (S&C) and Commercial & Compliance (C&C) (collectively SCCC risks) and NOJV exposure risks. What you will deliver (responsibilities) Risk management processes Lead the ANZ MC&M risk management procedure and advise the business on compliance with bp risk policy and GDP requirements Coordinate and facilitate risk and barrier health reviews and risk endorsement in line with bp policy requirements, including the annual SVP review and endorsement Act as Risk Champion for bp digital risk management tools (e.g. NOVA) Governance processes Coordinate quarterly Risk and Compliance Committee (RCC) meetings for the Retail and Midstream businesses - including preparing agenda and consolidating content from business owners, facilitating the meetings, taking minutes and sharing and tracking actions. Compliance processes Provide subject matter expertise and oversight of safety related compliance activity, including monitoring and assessing legislative changes for potential relevance to the ANZ MC&M businesses and provide recommendations on compliance activity. OMS SPA / SME accountabilities The role has the following accountabilities under bp's Operating Management System (OMS):Subject Matter Expert: OMS 3.1 (Risk Assessment and Management), OMS 3.3 (Process Safety), OMS 7.1 (Regulatory Compliance) What you will need to be successful (experience, job requirements & qualifications) Demonstrated experience in leading risk management processes and expert knowledge of related concepts - risk assessments, reviews of barrier health and risk management status, development of risk improvement pans, bowtie visualization. Demonstrated experience with the bp OMS and HSE&C management across process and personal safety topics Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
