Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate

- PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Parametric 3D CAD design experience with Siemens NX or similar software
- Experience interpreting and drafting engineering drawings with GD&T
- Experience safely operating shop equipment such as drill presses, saws, sanders, and hand tools.
- Hands-on experience programming and operating machine tools such as 3d printers, laser/waterjet cutters, and CNC mills; Or sound DFM knowledge around such processes
- Exposure to PCBA processes and tooling
- Ability to work in a fast paced, autonomously driven, and demanding atmosphere
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work all required shift hours, overtime, and weekends as needed. Estimated shift times; 1st Shift: 7:00AM - 5:00PM
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted
- Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
- COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Pay range:
- Specialist /Level 1: $34.00 - $40.00/hour
- Specialist /Level 2: $38.00 - $45.00/hour
- Specialist /Level 3: $42.00 - $51.00/hour
- Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

As a Mechanical Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating tooling and equipment to enable high-rate production of satellite PCBAs. You will work closely with manufacturing engineers focused on SMT and secondary PCBA processes such as selective solder, X-ray, press fit, staking/underfill, and conformal coat. An individual in the specialist role will support production by managing tooling assets, writing and validating machine programs, collecting data, and communicating with various stakeholders across the company.
