School Holidays : Preparation work may be scheduled on selected weekdays from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Off on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays. Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a capable and experienced Nutrition and Food Science (NFS) Lab Assistant to manage operations and support lessons within our food laboratories. You will work closely with our teaching staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-stocked learning environment for our students. Lab Maintenance & Hygiene : Take charge of the daily upkeep, sweeping, mopping, and tidying of the food laboratories and preparation rooms. Lesson & Exam Support : Actively prepare materials, tools, and kitchen units to support daily practical lessons and national examinations. Ingredient Logistics : Collate recipe orders from teachers and carry out timely procurement/ordering of fresh food ingredients. Administrative Documentation : Support the NFS unit with essential filing and office tracking, including invoices, receipts, delivery orders, and billings. Inventory Control : Conduct regular internal asset checking, equipment stock-takes, and manage the logistics of reference books and equipment loans. Vendor & Department Liaison : Coordinate directly with external contractors regarding commercial kitchen equipment maintenance, and assist other school departments utilizing the lab facilities.
