About the role

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (OA) in the CENTER FOR EMPLOYEE RECORDS AND APPLICANT INQUIRES DIVISION of OFFICE OF CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing human resources support involving the review and maintenance of personnel or employment-related actions; researching and responding to customer inquiries; applying established policies and procedures to resolve applicant issues; utilizing automated systems or databases to manage information; and communicating effectively with customers, management, or staff regarding services, processes, or case status updates. GS-5: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-4 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing administrative or support duties involving entering hiring-related information; responding to customer inquiries; utilizing automated systems or office software to update information; and communicate with customers regarding procedures, requests, or services. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
