  • Ensure timely information, early warning data is gathered, analyzed and reported to the NO Senior Leadership and shared with the Regional office on a monthly basis at a minimum.
  • As needed and required, Disaster Preparedness Plans (DPPs) are developed, implemented and managed.
  • Ensure Early Warning information is utilized to adjust interventions and activities to ensure child wellbeing in changing contexts.
  • Investigate and propose to senior management the best cash delivery agent/s for Food Assistance.
  • Ensure the National Office has a designated NEPRF and a clear NEPRF policy.
  • Be actively involved and/or ensure National Office involvement in major consortiums/Working Groups/ groups directly involved with humanitarian response as needed and as appropriate.
  • Work with Resource Development Unit to ensure adequate funding to address humanitarian needs is acquired.
  • Preposition relevant vendors through sensitization and signing of MOUs for timely adequate supplies for any response.
  • Capacity Building
  • Ensure the proper functional capacity of National Disaster Management Team (NDMTs) including identification, reporting, training, growth and the deployment of NDMTs (as per the EMS Structure)
  • Ensure the NO conducts Annual DM capacity assessment and performance reviews.
  • Work together with M&E Team to identify areas for research to deepen the learning around Cash Based Programming (CBP).
  • Ensure members of the NDMT Complete all security courses relating to their sector on e-campus.
  • Operation plan for all food assistance project is in place & guides implementation
  • Prepare and present comprehensive operating plan for the Food Assistance Program.
  • Setup CBP project team and ensure each staff contributes to the project outcomes according to the plan.
  • Together with M&E unit setup monitoring indicators and ensure M&E unit are delivering monitoring reports on regular basis.
  • Setup / revise project budget and monitor its implementation. Ensure all expenditures according to WV financial policies and manual.
  • Monitor donor's incoming commitment to ensure funds availability for monthly operation.
  • Ensure project is running according to the agreed timeframe and Detailed Implementation Plan.
  • Monitor the transfer-value to ensure its efficacy / relevancy to the current retail price. If transfer-value no longer relevant, revise the transfer-value by engaging relevant stakeholders and revise project budget accordingly.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholder to promote integration and smooth project transition.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders including, but not limited to, academia, NGOs, Government, Private Sector, USAID and WFP in order to advance the learning goal of the project.
  • Maintain all documentation relating directly to Cash Transfer activities appropriately filed.
  • Reporting
  • Develop sector reports (MMR, Semi-Annual, Annual Reports) and CWB Annual Report
  • Prepare monthly reports and coordinate monthly reflection meetings internally with unit members and externally with the relevant sectors
  • Ensure reports are sent according to the agreed schedule to donor, Support Offices, FPMG and other relevant entities.
