Responsibilities
- This is an exciting role, enabling the business to face in to new areas of the market, such as the Digital Targeting Web, at pace.
- Support delivery technology exploitation projects, maintaining control of scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, and dependencies to meet Future Programmes objectives. These will be a mixture of small PV projects, and customer funded R&D.
- Develop and manage integrated delivery plans, monitoring milestones and proactively resolving delivery issues through appropriate governance.
- Act as the delivery focal point across multiple LoBs, managing interfaces, dependencies, and alignment with senior engineering and business stakeholders.
- Apply robust governance, reporting, and control, including LCM compliance, financial tracking, forecasting, assurance, and change control.
- Drive continuous improvement, capturing lessons learned, applying best practice project management, and supporting delivery maturity growth.
Requirements
- To succeed in this role, you will bring a proven track record in project management and a strong ability to unite and motivate cross-functional (and LoB) teams towards a common goal.
- Essential skills and experience include:
- Demonstrated experience in project management, ideally within complex engineering or defence environments.
- Ability to lead, influence, and federate diverse cross-functional teams.
- Strong capability in generating and executing data-driven plans that deliver measurable benefits.
- It would be nice if you have:
- Knowledge and understanding of the digital defence domain.
- Exposure to defence, aerospace, or future capability environments
- Understanding of early‑to‑mid lifecycle phases (concept, maturation, demonstration)
- APM PMQ (or equivalent), or working towards
- Experience of Software Product Management and/or delivery of "Platform/Software as a Service"
- The ability to undertake frequent UK nationwide travel to Leonardo UK sites, and key partner/subcontractor sites

Job Description: Salary - £60k to £75k Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.
