Key Responsibilities & Duties Build and maintain business application features across a multi-platform technology stack. Design and implement integrations between internal systems, external partners, APIs, and data pipelines. Apply modern development practices - clean code, modular design, SQL-first data access, and structured testing - regardless of the language or environment. Serve as a technical resource on complex projects, contributing to design decisions and seeing work through to delivery. Identify and follow through on opportunities to modernize and improve existing systems. Collaborate with IT, project management, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver well-scoped, well-documented solutions. Learn, maintain, and expand RPG applications as part of a broader development role. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - 5+ years of professional software development experience. - Demonstrated ability to learn and work in unfamiliar languages, frameworks, or platforms. - Strong SQL and relational database skills - you write efficient queries and understand data modeling. - Experience building integrations between systems - APIs, file-based exchanges, ERP connectivity, or similar. - Comfortable working with legacy code you didn't write - reading, understanding, and improving it with confidence. - Clear communication skills - you can explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders without losing the important detail. - Security awareness baked into how you work, not treated as an afterthought.
