About the role
You will be part of a lean, high-ownership duo building ClipBox, a new standalone web platform inside Medal. You will work directly with our General Manager, with oversight from Medal tech leadership. As a true fullstack builder, you will own projects end-to-end, from idea and UX details to system design, implementation, and launch. The work includes scaling real-time video tracking and analytics (hundreds of thousands of videos), building secure payments and payout workflows, and shipping integrations with social APIs (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram) and related media handling, with a Discord bot planned as part of the ecosystem. You will move quickly, iterate with AI coding tools, help make pragmatic stack choices, and have meaningful product and design autonomy.
Requirements
- 5+ years of full stack engineering experience
- Experience with React, Redux and node.js
- In-person: Looking to hire in NYC to contribute alongside the product team. 5 days in the office
- Ownership & attention to detail: You see things through, and can be responsible for end-to-end quality of complex features
- Code Performance: Excellent understanding of code performance implications in production and confident with profiling tools
- Be result-driven: Everything we do is driven by the metrics and performance of the feature. We move fast and ship regularly
