About the role
The team is recognised globally for its work on complex, high-value international arbitration matters, advising sovereign States, multinational corporations, and major industry leaders across a broad range of sectors. We are a global team with experience in state, national, federal and international courts, arbitral tribunals, and enforcement agencies throughout the world. We represent clients in international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration, multi-jurisdictional disputes, and public international law matters. We advise at all stages of a dispute, from drafting dispute resolution clauses, initial pre-contentious strategic advice through to arbitration and post-award proceedings, related litigation such as challenges to arbitral awards and enforcement actions. What will you be responsible for The role will involve working closely with partners and other colleagues across the firm on high value, complex international arbitration cases - principally disputes involving transnational commercial contracts and international investment treaties between parties located in multiple jurisdictions. Responsibilities will include: Working closely with partners and colleagues across multiple jurisdictions on complex international arbitration matters ; Advising and representing clients in high-value commercial and investment treaty disputes ; Managing research, document review, and witness/expert evidence preparation ; Liaising directly with clients, tribunals, experts, and opposing counsel ; Devising solutions using your legal expertise and applying effective research techniques ; Supporting business development initiatives, publications, and conference participation. Your experience At least three years of professional experience representing clients in high-value, complex international commercial and/or investment arbitrations. Excellent academic background. Full business proficiency in English (native or close to native level). French language proficiency is not required although it is a plus. Competence to write clearly, economically, and persuasively in support of a client's case. Ability to analyse complex legal and factual problems and to identify challenges and solutions to a client's case. Competence to communicate effectively with individuals, teams, and clients at all levels and present confidently and with authority.
