About the role

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and adjust related machines to maintain taste consistency and quality drinks
  • Ensure a clean, safe & organized work environment in compliance with hygiene & safety standards
  • Oversee bar equipment maintenance, troubleshoot issues and liaise with service providers for
  • repairs as needed
  • Training & Development
  • Train and coach team members on beverage preparation, including espresso extraction, milk
  • texturing, latte art, and workflow management
  • Serve as a mentor and role model for baristas, demonstrating best practices and fostering a
  • culture of continuous learning
  • Review bar workflows, identify improvement opportunities, standard operation procedures and
  • other training materials
  • Customer Experience
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve beverage related issues promptly and courteously
  • Ensure a positive customer experience through friendly interaction and professional service
  • Maintain composure and deliver quality services even during high volume and fast-paced periods
  • Collaboration & Menu Development
  • Support restaurant operations and perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior
  • Work with management on beverage menu planning, seasonal specials and new drink concepts
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience working as a barista in specialty coffee environment, with at least 2 - 3 years in a supervisory/training role
  • Strong knowledge of coffee and equipment calibration (espresso machines, grinders, filters, etc)
  • Customer-service oriented, with a positive attitude and ability to handle a fast-paced environment
  • Time-management skills, strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required
