Linux Engineer- (Shift Based)-Contract role

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, harden, patch, and maintain Linux systems (primarily RHEL-based distributions)
• Perform OS tuning, performance optimization, and capacity planning
• Ensure system security compliance (CIS benchmarks, patching, vulnerability remediation)
• Manage Linux systems across development, testing, and production environments
• Provide Level 3 support for Linux-related incidents and issues
• Support high availability and disaster recovery configurations
• Requirement
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration in enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on expertise in RHEL / Linux (LVM, networking, kernel tuning, system internals)
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible preferred)
• Proficiency in shell scripting(Bash) and familiarity with Python
• Experience working in large-scale, production environments
• Familiarity with containers(Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus
• Understanding of security hardening and compliance standards
• Red Hat certification(RHCSA/RHCE) is highly desirable
• ITIL certification is an advantage
