Purpose Scale the Texas Institute for Electronics and the University of Texas compliance program to accommodate the growing and evolving needs of the organization by supporting the Information Cybersecurity Compliance Director and the implementation of controlled unclassified information (CUI) systems.
Responsibilities
- Ensure information systems follow government and TIE regulations while meeting program demands and operating in an accredited state.
- Assist in daily IT governance, risk management, and compliance functions.
- Provide oversight and compliance assurance for the daily administration of information security measures in compliance with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and other relevant system security requirements, including those under the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Assist in ensuring that controlled unclassified information systems meet the RMF goals required by TIE and government clients.
- Draft detailed reports of compliance and self-inspection outcomes for upper management review.
- Perform other related functions as assigned.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field; or high school diploma/GED and one or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNP Security, or CASP CE.
- Three years of related experience, with a minimum of two years of relevant cybersecurity experience, including compliance assessment and planning through the POA&M process.
- Current Security+ certification or IAM/IAT equivalent level certification.
- Two or more years of experience working with the RMF, DAAPM/DAAG, NISPOM, JSIG, or other equivalent security frameworks.
- U.S. Citizen. Applicant selected must meet eligibility requirements for access to controlled unclassified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
