About the role
This role is based within our Seniors Living - Chaplaincy team, supporting older people across multiple locations including their homes, hospitals, and wellness centres . As a Pastoral Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, Christ- centred pastoral care that supports the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of residents and their families. You will play a meaningful role in enriching lives through connection, listening, and faith-based support. Provide authentic, person- centred pastoral care to seniors across a range of settings Support residents' spiritual and emotional wellbeing through meaningful engagement Be part of a collaborative chaplaincy and care team Contribute to a holistic approach to care that honours dignity, compassion, and faith Key responsibilities include: Visiting residents across homes and village community events and groups to provide pastoral care and support Listening, engaging, and where appropriate , sharing the Christian message in a sensitive and respectful way Supporting clients' spiritual journeys through prayer, conversation, and faith-based activities Providing pastoral support to residents' families and staff where appropriate Working collaboratively with chaplains and broader care teams to deliver holistic support Referring complex pastoral care matters appropriately when required Maintaining accurate documentation, records, and reporting in line with organisational requirements Building strong relationships and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders Supporting a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment across services About you Experience in Christian ministry or pastoral care (preferred) Theological studies completed, in progress, or willingness to undertake (preferred) Relevant qualification in aged care or pastoral care (Cert III/IV desirable) Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills Ability to build relationships and support individuals from diverse backgrounds Strong communication and active listening capability Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment Professional, adaptable, and able to respond to sensitive situations with care Commitment to Christian faith and alignment with Anglicare's mission and values Current NSW Driver's Licence and Working With Children Check Why Anglicare?
