Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support in evaluating investment opportunities, including market, financial, and strategic analysis.
• Participate in due diligence processes across financial, commercial, tax, legal, HR and operational areas.
• Prepare valuation models (DCF, multiples-based valuation, scenario analyses).
• Assist in the preparation of investment proposals, presentations, and internal decision materials.
• Conduct industry and competitor research to support M&A pipeline development.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (finance, legal, business units) and external advisors.
• What we expect:
• Approximately 1-5 years of relevant work experience in M&A, transaction services, audit, business controlling, due diligence or business development.
• A relevant master's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• Solid understanding and ability to evaluate financial information.
• Financial modelling skills, including experience with DCF, multiples‑based valuation and scenario analysis.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to support the analysis of complex problems using data and financial information.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders across functions in a multinational environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Experience in an industrial or international material handling business environment is a plus.

We are looking for an Mergers & Acquisition Analyst to join Konecranes' Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build hands‑on M&A experience in a global industrial company. You will work closely with experienced M&A professionals and senior leaders, supporting transactions and strategic investment decisions that shape the future of Konecranes. Location: Konecranes is headquartered in Hyvinkää, Finland. This role is primarily based at our modern offices in Keilaranta, Espoo, where the team is located. We work in a hybrid model and enjoy collaborating in the office, with around 50% of your working time spent on-site. Occasional travel is part of the role. Travel is limited in the beginning (approximately 10 days per year, depending on project needs) and may increase over time.
