Accountabilities/Responsibilities Lead the production of statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and associated workbooks. Review and maintain the statutory ledgers and sub ledgers for the assigned entities, including month end processes and related management accounts. Includes investment accounting, derivative accounting, pension schemes, intercompany and cost recharges, lease accounting, subordinated debt accounting, dividends and share activities Maintenance of central companies control environment, including documentation and relevant controls operation of the local ledgers Production and review of reporting packs for inclusion in Group IFRS and SII reporting Support governance activities, including the preparation of Board packs and other papers required for Company Boards, Treasury ExCo and Valuations and Technical Accounting forum for Day-to-day ownership of relationship with External Auditors and Group Reporting and other Finance teams Monitor forecasts for M&G Central companies liquidity and cash flow requirements; Conduct accounting research and lead the resolution of technical accounting issues. Liaise with the relevant counterparts on the business side, and tax teams including the support of the preparation of the corporate tax and VAT returns. Prepare management information and ad-hoc reports to senior management. Support and contribute to, delivery of Finance Change projects, including the implementation of new accounting standards Supporting continuous improvement through routine and bespoke analyses and ad hoc projects including technology, process improvement, and new business integration. Work collaboratively with team to plan and schedule work to meet deliverable timelines Maintain effective working relationships with other teams across M&G Finance and other parts of the business, ensuring that stakeholder needs are communicated, understood and met Key Stakeholder Management Internal Treasury Operations Group Reporting teams Peers across Mumbai Finance Change team External External auditors Relevant regulators Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Educational Qualification Knowledge & Skills: Excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to work to tight deadlines.
