About the role

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems within flight simulation systems. Review updates and bug fixes at subsystem level in collaboration with test engineers/test pilots. Support integration of data, updates, software, hardware, and component exchanges. Perform instrument calibration. Execute system power‑up and shutdown procedures, including functional testing. Conduct detailed fault analysis and carry out corrective repairs of components or systems. Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on simulators and related systems. Assist in diagnosing and resolving simulator and system issues. Record and track maintenance activities using the maintenance management system. Perform pre‑flight and post‑flight tasks on simulators. Conduct basic visual alignments. Run automatic Qualification Test Guide (QTG). Support refurbishment activities and hardware modifications. Complete administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • A Technical qualification and/or professional experience in an electronic, avionic, or technical field (e.g., technician or equivalent role).
  • A hands-on approach to troubleshooting and fixing technical hardware or mechanical problems. This may be that you enjoy repairing computers or fixing cars in your free time.
  • Computer literacy (PC and/or mainframe architecture).
  • Good knowledge of Italian and a basic knowledge of English.
  • Strong practical and analytical mindset with robust troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work day/night shifts and occasional weekends.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Professional experience in an electronic, avionic, or technical field
  • Experience with soldering and circuit board repairs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
