About the role

This role will be part of the fast growing dynamic custody operations team, working with the product sales team, relationship management team as well as internal stakeholders. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Act as Maker on all outbound payment instructions, settlement instructions, and securities movement instructions within the custodian banking platform, ensuring accuracy before submission. Process trade settlements, corporate actions, static data updates, and MIS reporting of the custody business. Ensure daily BAU tasks are completed and exceptional matters escalated to management in a timely manner. Input and process custodian sub-account opening, custody fee processing, and related operational tasks. Liaise with Head office custody team, operations team from various branches regarding custody business. Coordinate with sub-custodians, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth settlement. Provide management support, drive and implement process enhancement and improvements. Participate in UAT testing for system upgrades and new function launches. Handle issues and requests from both internal and external stakeholders regarding custody operational enquiries. Performance oriented; promote the development of custody business by working closely with Front office team. Constant discussion with team lead and team members on possible process streamlining. Involved in process reviews and updating the team's standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (MAS, SGX, etc.) Actively involved in custody related information collation and MAS reporting. Requirement: Bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of working experience, preferably in banking, custody operations or securities and fund operations. Knowledge on the duties of a Depository Agent will be added advantage. High adaptability, ability to handle stress in a fast paced environment and efficient team manager. Meticulous and efficient team member driving team to complete assigned task within the designated timeframe. Effective communication with good interpersonal, written and verbal skills in both English and Chinese so as to provide service for Chinese speaking customers and report to Head office. Proficiency in Python or PowerPoint will be an added advantage.
