In helicopters, Airbus provides the most efficient civil and military rotorcraft solutions and services worldwide. #### Job description To support the Aircraft Development Safety Manching team we are looking for a # System Safety Engineer (d/f/m) You will ensure that Airbus products are developed, designed, produced and supported according to the state-of-art and the relevant safety standards (associated to airworthiness regulations). Safety of the vehicle is maintained throughout its whole lifecycle, considering Human Factors and operation. You are interested in assessing complex functions through Aircrafts and Systems, analyze the propagation of mechanical or electrical/electronical malfunctions and unintended human operation throughout the system with regards to hazardous Aircraft reaction. ## **Your location** Located about an hour's drive north of Munich, Manching is an up-and-coming market town that offers a wide range of leisure and cultural activities. Here, you can enjoy the quality of life in the countryside while the pleasures of near-by cities are still within easy reach. ## **Our Benefits for You** - **Fair Compensation & Extras:** Attractive remuneration and individual additional benefits, such as company pension schemes, mobility offers (e.g., bike leasing), or corporate discounts with partner companies in accordance with our current guidelines. - **Time for You (and Your Loved Ones):** 30 days of annual leave based on our collective agreement (35-hour week); work-life balance through flexible working hours (flextime), mobile working, part-time options, job sharing, and sabbatical opportunities. - **Growth Made Easy:** Excellent professional development opportunities and international, group-wide career perspectives. - **Feel Good at Work:** On-site company doctor; comprehensive health programs (sports courses, preventive care, etc.), canteen and cafeteria, and local childcare facilities at selected locations. - **Diversity Connects:** Work in a diverse environment with more than 140 nationalities, where exchange, mutual support, and inclusion are part of our DNA. ## **Your tasks and responsibilities** - Lead and conduct main Safety assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment/System Safety Assessment) activities for aircraft and systems, supporting the phases until certification - Lead and conduct Risk Analyses, according to the applicable guidance and standards, which are required to support the continuous aircraft development (including Permit to Fly/Type Certificate) - Lead and conduct Common-Cause Analyses (Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis and Common Mode Analysis) - Lead, manage and generate safety requirements, safety evidences (tests, simulation, analyses), Safety Procedures and Limitations, interface with other technical domains (processes, maintenance, human factors, aircraft performance and quality, etc.) - Strong influence on aircraft/systems architecture development according to the required Safety/Integrity - Act as interface at the required level with internal and external stakeholders (Chief Engineering, Project Management, Design Teams, Airworthiness Authorities, Industrial Partners, Customers, Suppliers) - Review, approval and application of supplier data regarding Safety and Reliability ## **Desired skills and qualifications** - Master degree of Aerospace Engineering, Physical Science or similar discipline - Minimum 3 years working experience in related engineering field - Knowledge/understanding of Aircraft systems - System Safety Assessment experience would be an advantage, at least System Engineering experience with interface to Safety Assessment/Airworthiness/Certification - Advanced skills with MS Office are presumed - Good communication skills and strong problem-solving capability are desirable - Experience with Safety Tools (e.g. Isograph FaultTree+, Reliability Workbench) - Very good English language skills, German language is desirable Not a 100% match?
