About the role
As our first Industrial Designer on Applied Intuition's design team, your role will be to understand and solve the deeply complex workflows of our users - software engineers who develop autonomous machines and develop corresponding hardware. Designers at Applied Intuition are highly collaborative while also being individually responsible for business critical objectives. At Applied Intuition, you will: Develop design themes for hardware concepts from sketch, prototype, to production Build and iterate physical prototypes to inform product architecture with human factors in mind Work quickly to ship new features in 5 week release cycles Create and communicate design intent through sketches, CAD, prototypes, CMF strategy and design documentation Collaborate closely with PM, Eng, and BD for highly technical and complex engineering challenges We're looking for someone who has: 6+ years of Industrial design experience Prototyped and developed hardware for software in fast-paced, technical environments Keen sense of human factors Ability to take complex engineering constraints and make user-friendly and intuitive designs Strong ability to hit the ground running with incomplete feature scopes and fragmented information Bachelors in Human-Computer Interaction, or related design field
