Mō te tūranga | About the role We're looking for a Water Labourer to join our Utilities team in Gisborne. This is a hands-on role supporting the repair, maintenance and installation of water reticulation assets across the network. Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities Assist with reactive and scheduled repair and maintenance work across the water reticulation network. Install and repair water connections on mains of varying sizes. Carry out repairs and new installations of service pipes, meters, valves and hydrants. Support trenching, pipe laying, locating existing services, and reconnecting pipework safely and accurately. Complete water quality and operational testing as required. Operate hand tools and approved small plant and equipment within your training and competency. Maintain strong housekeeping standards on site and help keep work areas clean, tidy and safe. Take part in pre-starts, risk planning and day-to-day safety conversations, speaking up when something's not right. Experience in the water, civil or construction industry would be helpful, but it's not essential.
