Alternatives Investment Specialist (Private Banking, APAC)

Responsibilities

• Drive the Alternatives investment strategy for Private Banking, shaping the platform across private markets, hedge funds, and discretionary solutions.
• Conduct fund research, due diligence and ongoing monitoring to identify suitable investment opportunities for HNW clients.
• Assist in the management of discretionary portfolios and support portfolio construction and review activities.
• Work closely with Relationship Managers and Investment Consultants to increase the adoption of funds and discretionary solutions among clients.
• Prepare investment updates, fund commentaries, marketing materials and other client-facing publications.
• Maintain regular contact with fund houses, asset managers and other market participants to stay abreast of industry developments.
• Provide product support to front-office teams by addressing client enquiries, sharing investment ideas and assisting with portfolio recommendations.
• Organize and deliver product training sessions to enhance investment knowledge across the sales and advisory teams.
• Support product governance matters, including fund onboarding, vendor due diligence and periodic product reviews.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements and cross-border guidelines.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 10 years of investment experience in the Private Bank Hedge /Private Markets fund space
• Proficient in fund selection and a strong grasp of investment strategies, policies and the relevant regulations
• Excellent presentation and communication skills and able to engage Chinese speaking stakeholders effectively
• Possess relevant CACS and CMFAS certifications
