About the role
As our Engineering Technician, you'll play a hands-on role in supporting the assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and manufacturing transfer of hardware systems for our advanced optical and authentication solutions. Working closely with the engineering team, you'll help build prototypes, execute test procedures, support quality control, maintain lab equipment, and ensure our hardware is reliable, repeatable, and ready for real-world deployment. You will: Assemble, test, and troubleshoot hardware prototypes and production units. Perform QC checks, LED screening, calibration, and reliability testing. Support manufacturing transfer activities, including assembly documentation and test procedures. Carry out PCB rework, soldering, cable assembly, and system integration tasks. Operate lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and microscopes. Maintain lab equipment, inventory, test records, and engineering documentation. Work closely with the engineering team to support product development and production activities. Requirement Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma, or equivalent in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience with electronics assembly, soldering, testing, or prototyping. Familiar with common lab equipment and measurement tools. Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable following documented procedures. Able to document results clearly and communicate effectively with engineers. Experience with PCB rework, QC, manufacturing, or optical systems is an advantage. Enjoys hands-on work and learning in a fast-paced startup environment
