Requirements

• Education & Training: Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Therapist educational program.
• Experience: None
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have good working knowledge in the use of equipment used for the diagnosis and treatment of patients receiving routine and critical respiratory care.

Additional Information

Work Shift: Assesses patients, performs diagnostics, assists, and consults with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Administers the prescribed therapy to patients based on physician orders. May also be required to become proficient in the operation of Pulmonary Lab, cardiovascular and neurology equipment and in the performance of related duties except where additional licensure is required. Performs in areas of cardiology including electrocardiograms, echocardiography, cardiac and pulmonary stress testing, and electroencephalography where deemed competent.
