About the role

Stages production floors and moves products to locations within the plant or warehouse as necessary. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Observes and follows all safety regulations. Daily inspection and care of equipment. Follow all departmental SOPs. Communicate, interact and support all departments. Locate material into inventory per MEP. Cycle count and pull material from inventory for work orders. Load, unload, relocate materia as needed per inventory, production, shipping, and quality control requirements. Accurate and legible completion of all required paperwork/computer entry. Operate dock equipment, correct or report any issue identified. Comply with receiving of any material (raw materials, packaging materials, office supplies, production supplies, maintenance supplies and others). Assist and support all warehouse personnel. Verify, identify and inspect a variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operations. Responsible for various inventory transactions using barcode scanner and/or computer system. Understanding of shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, and customer's special instructions. Warehousing - moving product to maximize usage of warehouse space. Trouble shoot any material problems including inventory discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging, or handling issues. Responsible for ongoing development of a team member's environment. Understand the correlation between production and warehouse finished goods, fixing any issues with pounds and scanning orders. Quality control pallets, cores, cradles, boxes, other packaging materials received by shipping - prevent damaged product being received. Follow housekeeping requirements to maintain a clean and safe working environment. All other duties and/or assignments as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions (in English).
  • Valid lift truck license or able to attain certification.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, days or nights.
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, bend, stoop, push/pull, lift, climb, reach, and crawl for extended periods multiple times per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to work around moving mechanical parts.
  • No fear of heights (equivalent to a 4-5 story building).
  • Must have good vision, eye-hand coordination, and hearing.
  • Must have manual dexterity involving total wrist action, twisting, pulling, and raising arms at or above shoulder height.
  • Ability to work in warm, humid, and cool climates for duration of shift and/or including overtime.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, safety goggles, hearing protection, steel toe shoes/boots, gloves, harness, and head/face protection.

Job Description The starting rate of pay for this position is expected to be $18.00; however, starting pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience between $18.00 and $22.00. SHIFT: Rotating (3 days work/4 days off & 4 days work/3 days off - work every other weekend) 12-hour shift 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Must be available and able to train Mon-Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm.
