Mechanical Supervisor

About the role

Supervise daily mechanical site activities, including equipment installation, alignments, and pre-commissioning Lead and supervise a team of fitters, welders, and mechanical workers daily Plan and allocate daily manpower, tools, and materials to meet project targets Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance on rotating and stationary equipment Direct and train technicians, assign daily tasks, and coordinate with external contractors or vendors Carry out troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical faults/breakdowns on site Oversee installation, alignment, testing & commissioning of pumps, motors, gearboxes, piping, HVAC, generators, and mechanical equipment Enforce health, safety, and environmental protocols, ensuring safety permits are in place and hazards are mitigated Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices at all times Diagnose mechanical failures, verify compliance with quality standards, and assist engineers with design modifications Liaise with Engineers, Clients, Subcontractors, and other trades on site coordination Monitor work progress vs schedule and report to Project Manager daily
