About the role
This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, position description D1366000 target grade to D1525000, within the 177th AMXS of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. General Experience: Must have the following experience(s): Removing and replacing aircraft parts, accessories, and components Making adjustments and settings according to established specifications Using hand tools and test equipment Specialized Experience: Must have 18 months of the following experience(s): Installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting Functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification Coordinating the work of other mechanics Scheduling maintenance to ensure completion of critical actions and optimum workflow Instructing lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines WG-12 Qualification will be determined by the IDP when selected for the WG-10 position
