Partner with the best As an Maintenance Technician - Downhole Tools, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex downhole tools and subassemblies used in oilfield operations. You will apply hands-on expertise across electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality product delivery in high-pressure, high-temperature environments. As an Maintenance Technician - Downhole Tools, you will be responsible for: - Assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing downhole electronic assemblies including PCBs, sensors, telemetry modules, power systems, and wiring harnesses. - Assembling, disassembling, inspecting, and repairing mechanical components such as housings, bearings, shafts, seals, fasteners, and connectors. - Assembling, testing, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems including valves, pistons, actuators, and pressure chambers. - Performing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and system-level testing using standard test equipment and fixtures. - Conducting pressure, leak, and environmental testing to ensure compliance with specifications. - Diagnosing failures and nonconformances, supporting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. - Ensuring compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements. - Maintaining accurate documentation, inspection records, and component traceability. - Collaborating with engineering, quality, and field service teams to ensure tool readiness and reliability. - Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: - Have an Associate Degree (AAS/AS) in Electromechanical Technology, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Have 3-5 years of hands-on experience with electromechanical, hydraulic, or downhole tool systems. - Be able to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical procedures. - Have working knowledge of electronic test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes. - Demonstrate strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Be proficient with measuring tools and torque-controlled assembly practices. - Have basic computer skills for documentation and test data entry. - Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment. Desired Characteristics - Experience with data tools and systems such as Excel, SAP, MS Office, and Outlook. - IPC certifications such as IPC-A-610 or IPC-J-STD-001. - Experience working with HPHT or oilfield downhole tools. - Training or certification in hydraulic systems. - Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. - Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members. - Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and a safety-first mindset.
