City/State: Bronx, New York Grant Funded: No Department: Psych - Clinical MDS/PHDS Work Shift: Day Work Days: DAYS VARY Scheduled Hours: Hours Vary Scheduled Daily Hours: Hours Vary Pay Range: $216,000.00-$270,000.00 The Division of Psychiatry and Medicine within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine , is seeking up to two full-time academic P sychiatrist s for its Inpatient Consultati on Liaison Service on its Moses Campus and a full-time academic psychiatrist to join our world-renow n ed Abdominal Transplant Service . The Consultation Liaison Psychiatry service at Moses is a busy and innovative consultation and teaching service which continues to expand to meet the mental health and addictions treatment needs of the medical center . The two new fulltime Consultation Liaison academic attendings will join our existing multidisciplinary team of four and 1/2 psychiatrist Consultation Liaison Psychiatrist s , two Transplant Psychiatrist, three psychologists, and a social worker. The Consultation Psychiatrists will be responsible for direct care in-patient consultation patient care consults and the supervision trainees' consults, division, and departmental activities. The Abdominal Transplant Psychiatrist position follows a collaborative care. The new Psychiatrist shares all the resource of a busy transplant center. This includes excellent administrative staff, six social workers, pharmacist, psychologists, care coordinators, nutritionist, and doctors from various disciplines. While the Psychiatrist is imbedded in the Transplant Center, they are very much part of the Consultation Liaison Team. As a team we participate in the education and training of many different learner s including medical students, Psychiatry and Neurology Residents, Consultation L iaison and Addiction Fellows , and Psychology Interns. The Moses campus hospital is a 750-bed tertiary care, referral hospital with a wide range of services.
