Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join its client's Children in Care and Care Leavers Team within Children's Social Care in Newcastle. This role offers the opportunity to work with looked after children and young people transitioning into independence, ensuring they receive consistent, high-quality support and planning. The successful candidate will be based at Westgate Community College, working as part of a supportive team committed to achieving positive outcomes and stability for children in care and care leavers. What will your responsibilities be? Hold and manage a caseload of Children in Care and Care Leavers cases. Complete statutory assessments, reviews, and pathway planning in line with legislation and local procedures. Lead care planning and permanency planning to ensure timely, child-centred outcomes. Support young people preparing for adulthood, promoting independence, education, employment, and wellbeing. Work collaboratively with carers, families, personal advisors, and multi-agency partners. Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records and reports. Provide senior-level practice support and guidance within the team as required. Participate in supervision and contribute positively to team culture and service development.
