Job Purpose We are seeking a visionary and people-focused Packaging Leader to join the Global Skin Cleansing Packaging team. This highly visible leadership role will shape the future packaging strategy for Men's and Bar Skin Cleansing brands globally, while developing and leading a high-performing team of packaging professionals. Reporting to the Global Skin Cleansing & North America Personal Care Senior Packaging Director, this leader will combine deep packaging expertise, innovation leadership, and talent development to deliver breakthrough packaging solutions that delight consumers, drive growth, and advance Unilever's commitment to sustainability. This is an opportunity to influence global brand strategy, lead complex innovation programs, coach future packaging leaders, and drive packaging excellence across one of Unilever's largest and most recognizable categories. Job Responsibilities Leadership & Development Provide inspiring leadership to a team of Packaging Managers and Technical Professionals. Coach, develop, and mentor multiple junior direct reports to accelerate both performance and career growth. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, inclusion, innovation, and continuous learning. Build packaging capability by sharing technical expertise, driving best practices, and strengthening organizational effectiveness. Develop future packaging leaders through active succession planning and talent development. Drive Packaging Innovation & Strategy Define and execute the packaging strategy for Men's and Bar Skin Cleansing brands. Translate consumer, customer, and business needs into winning packaging solutions. Partner with Brand Development and Design teams to create packaging that delivers superiority, premium experiences, and sustainability benefits. Advance the Packaging Technology Roadmap by identifying and implementing emerging packaging technologies and materials. Lead the development of future-fit packaging solutions that support evolving consumer behaviors, channels, and sustainability requirements. Deliver Complex Global Programs Lead packaging workstreams across multiple complex global and regional innovation programs simultaneously. Serve as a Packaging Workstream Leader and, when required, Technical Project Leader accountable for all R&D delivery. Ensure projects are delivered on time, in full, and within budget while proactively identifying risks and mitigation plans. Balance innovation, technical excellence, commercialization readiness, and operational feasibility. Influence Across the Enterprise Partner extensively with: Brand Development Package Design Supply Chain Procurement Product Development Processing Consumer & Technical Insight (CTI) Consumer Market Insight (CMI) External Packaging Suppliers Influence senior stakeholders across multiple functions, regions, and teams. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex packaging challenges into actionable business decisions. Champion Sustainability & Packaging Excellence Lead initiatives that support Unilever's sustainability and circular packaging ambitions. Drive packaging simplification, cost transformation, material optimization, and planet-positive innovation. Ensure compliance with the One Unilever Packaging Process (1UPP) and drive adoption across the broader team. Embed packaging excellence standards and best practices into daily ways of working. Required Qualifications 8+ years of packaging development experience within FMCG, Consumer Goods, Beauty, Personal Care, or related industries. Demonstrated experience leading and developing technical teams. Proven success delivering complex packaging innovation programs from concept through commercialization. Experience leading cross-functional global or regional initiatives. Strong project and portfolio management experience with multiple concurrent programs. Strong knowledge in: Rigid Plastics, Bottles, Closures, Dispensing Systems, Flexible & Paperboard Packaging. Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline. Advanced degree preferred. Pay : The pay range for this position is $119,400 to $179,000. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
