To be considered for the position, you must meet the following: Basic Requirements: Degree: Social work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the master's degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. AND In addition to meeting the basic requirement, you must have: Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience in assessing the need for services to inmates/patients in a medical or psychiatric setting (e.g., evaluated patients as part of a multidisciplinary team and made recommendations for treatment, practiced holistic social work in a medical or psychiatric environment, versed on various treatment modalities for various disorders and/or utilized those practices in a professional environment). Experience in performing as an independent practitioner, working in a clinical environment, in which it was required to determine priority for services, gather information or have direct responsibility for solving problems (e.g., worked in a clinical setting treating either psychiatric disorders or medical patients, conducted social assessments, presented a written evaluation or documented information in a patients' medical record, and represented social work at treatment team meetings). Experience in serving in a supervisory capacity/director or coordinator of a specialized program. Experience in developing new policy or procedures for a specialized program/population, and/or has created new tools (e.g., assessments, tracking forms, etc.) for the enhancement of a treatment program. AND Selective Placement Factor: Applicants applying for this position MUST also possess the following Selective Factor. In the event you do not possess the Selective Factor, you will be found ineligible for the position. Applicant must possess a license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), License Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or equivalent unrestricted, independent, clinical license. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience.
