About the role
This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as an Agency expert for Agency-level readiness reporting including Joint Mission Essential Task List development, maintenance and mission readiness reporting-related programs. You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Experience with the Department of War (DoW) Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) to include the Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) development processes, and the Universal Joint Task List (UJTL). Experience utilizing the CJCS Joint Doctrine System in order to serve as an organization's point of contact and subject matter expert for oversight, management, analysis. Experience utilizing the Joint Training Tool (JTT) and Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS) to implement best practices and correcting deficiencies revealed in lessons learned from exercises and events in which an organization participates. Possessing an in-depth understanding of US national strategy to include the DoD Strategy to Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), CWMD plans, programs, intelligence, doctrine, policy and USG actors to include OSW, Joint Staff, CCMDs, Military Services and the Service components of CCMDs, and Defense/Combat Support Agencies. Possessing excellent oral and written communication skills in order to prepare and present major staff studies, fact sheets, and executive-level decision briefs, as well as to articulate and negotiate complex issues with senior leadership and external partners.
