Job Description: The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences offers college-level courses in the following formats: face-to-face, live online via Zoom, and online via Canvas (PSC's learning management system). Adjunct instructors instruct students, develop curricula, assess student learning, and maintain College and department standards and deadlines. This position reports to Mr. Scott Schackmann, Department Head, Humanities and Social Sciences. Department Disciplines: Anthropology Education: Early Childhood, Elementary, Exceptional Student Geography History: U.S., European, African American History & Humanities Humanities Languages: ASL, French, Italian, Latin, Spanish Philosophy, Logic & Critical Thinking, Ethics Political Science: American Government, International Relations Psychology, Human Growth and Development, Child Development Social Work Sociology Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Management Minimum Qualifications: To teach college-level courses, graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a master's degree in field or a master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the field is required. Successful results of a criminal background check are also required. Instructors must be able to use and demonstrate the use of technology required for the assigned course(s). Salary Range : Adjunct Faculty shall be paid on an hourly basis according to degree level as follows: Master's Degree: $34.00 Doctorate: $37.00 NOTE: This is an open applicant pool. Positions are filled by the department on an as-needed basis.
