Storeperson TA

About the role

We are searching an energetic and mechanically minded individual to join our Kalgoorlie, workshop team. As a Storeperson/ Trades Assistant you will assist in the workshop and the warehouse and you will assist in the maintaining the workshop and the equipment and support the warehouse with receiving, picking, packing and dispatch of goods.

Responsibilities

• Providing labouring assistance to the qualified Trade Technicians during technical tasks such as pump or associated equipment service and repairs
• Testing of pumps post-repair
• Spray painting of pumps post repair
• Preparation of items for shipping and inventory management
• Equipment delivery and pick ups from our local customers
• General cleaning, maintenance, housekeeping duties in workshop and warehouse
• Forklift operations for movement and storage of pumps and other equipment
• About You:
• Prior experience working preferably in a workshop
• Forklift & HR license
• Prior experience working as a storeperson
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals
• Intermediate level of computer literacy, particularly MS office suite
• Some exposure or experience working in the pump industry or an engineering environment desirable
