Job Responsibilities Manage and execute electrical and controls projects, including automation upgrades, equipment integration, process control enhancements, and infrastructure modifications, from planning to implementation, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, maintenance, information technology, and environmental health and safety, to identify automation and production line requirements and develop effective solutions. Oversee the design, programming, layout, and optimization of electrical and control systems to ensure efficient workflows, equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Design, develop, integrate, and maintain PLC and HMI programs across the facility ensuring seamless integration with existing system architectures. Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure automation equipment, electrical components, and integration services necessary for project completion. Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure new automation systems, electrical installations, or modifications are properly documented and integrated into preventive maintenance programs. Evaluate controls and automation system performance, recommending upgrades or replacements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and reliability. Be present on the production floor and throughout the facility to identify opportunities for electrical/controls improvements and implement project plans and actions as necessary. Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to maintenance and operations teams in troubleshooting automation and control system issues and assist in optimizing operational processes through improvement projects. Develop and deliver presentations with project updates to all levels of the organization. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in manufacturing automation, electrical engineering, and industrial controls, and incorporate relevant advancements into project and facility strategies. Actively participate in continuous improvement activities. Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, controls engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of electrical/controls engineering experience in a manufacturing environment required; 10+ years preferred. Demonstrated track record of successfully managing electrical or controls-related projects. Proven experience in project management, including planning, budgeting, and execution. Proven ability to lead project teams successfully and respectfully. Strong technical knowledge of industrial automation, controls systems, PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and power distribution. Experience with programming and troubleshooting PLCs and other industrial control systems. Familiarity with industrial networks and communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.). Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions. Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Proficienc
