Waste Connections is searching for an Account Payable/Account Receivable Clerk to join our team in South A ustin, TX! The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to interact with varying levels of employees and vendors, works efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to provide support in accounting. Duties and Responsibilities Coverage & Support: Temporarily fill in for absent accounting staff Transactional Processing : Execute day-to-day accounting duties, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), Collections. Adaptation: Quickly learn new operational workflows, software programs, and departmental procedures as assignments rotate Experience : Typically 1-3+ years of general bookkeeping or staff accounting experience. Software Proficiency: Microsoft Excel. Flexibility & Problem Solving: High tolerance for shifting priorities and the ability to seamlessly resolve complex accounting discrepancies. Communication : Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to collaborate with multiple, varied teams and management Job Requirements: Attention to detail, accuracy, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team setting. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 3+ year of Accounts Payable experience.
