Washcoat Operator

About the role

As a Washcoat Operator, you will help drive our goals by: Carrying out standard washcoat operations safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards in line with Johnson Matthey and customer requirements. Monitoring and maintaining quality performance, supporting investigations into quality issues, and implementing corrective actions with appropriate technical support. Following standard operating procedures to meet production and delivery targets while identifying and escalating operational issues and improvement opportunities. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through lean manufacturing tools, problem-solving techniques, and 5S practices to enhance operational performance and reduce waste. Managing and accounting for raw materials, heels, and washings within allocated washcoat areas, investigating variances, and communicating outcomes using root cause analysis tools such as 5 Why. Key skills that will help you succeed in this role : Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards, with the ability to identify and promote safety improvements. Good understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and operational procedures within a production environment. Problem-solving and analytical skills, including experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, and escalate issues in a timely manner.
