About the role

As Senior Mechanical Technician in the days team at Prudhoe, you'll lead defined maintenance activities with a focus on mechanical systems. Responsibilities

  • Performance Management : Own mechanical maintenance KPIs and drive continuous improvement to meet departmental objectives
  • System Oversight : Manage mechanical work through SAP (CMMS), ensuring accurate planning, execution, and documentation
  • Contractor Management : Oversee mechanical contractors and uphold high standards of work, including quality audits and commissioning
  • Team Development : Lead and mentor junior technicians, fostering skill development and capability growth
  • Workshop Excellence : Maintain workshop standards and ensure permit control and health & safety adherence

Requirements

  • Completed a recognised multi-skilled or mechanical engineering apprenticeship, ideally with City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3
  • Proven mechanical experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or process environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience maintaining complex automated manufacturing systems, including large rotating equipment and hydraulics
  • Skilled in planning, mentoring, and problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
  • Experience using SAP for maintenance planning and execution
