Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain:
- 18 MΩ-cm RO/DI (UPW) systems
- Industrial wastewater treatment systems, including ACID Waste Neutralization (AWN) and HF treatment
- Water recycling and reclaim systems (DI reclaim, IRW - Industrial Reclaim Water)
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs across:
- RO/DI systems, reclaim systems, and wastewater treatment processes
- Pumps, motors, valves, and fluid distribution systems
- Control systems, sensors, and instrumentation
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities on:
- Chillers, CDA systems, boilers, air handlers
- Scrubbers and closed-loop cooling systems
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability
- Operate lab and analytical equipment to perform:
- DI water quality testing
- Wastewater sampling and analysis
- Maintain detailed logs and generate reports on system performance
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) and trend analysis to identify deviations and improve system stability
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including discharge limits and reporting requirements
- Maintain documentation to support audits and inspections
- Track water usage and support water conservation and reduction initiatives
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including 5S and inventory management
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, chemical, or related) OR equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong working knowledge of:
- DI/UPW systems and wastewater treatment processes
- Mechanical systems (pumps, valves, piping)
- Basic electrical systems (motors, controls)
- Experience in a semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab) environment
- Hands-on experience with:
- Water recycling / reclaim systems and sustainability programs
- Chemical handling and hazardous material safety
- Familiarity with:
- Control systems (HMI, PLCs, PID loops)
- Instrumentation and metrology tools
- Experience using SPC, control charts, and data analysis tools

- The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $35 to $48. Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location , experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
