Technical Accounting Manager

About the role

This is a key position within Group Finance, where you will act as the technical accounting lead, ensuring high quality, compliant financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity international business. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, including the Group Financial Controller, supporting M&A activity, complex transactions, and Group reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on IFRS accounting standards across the Group (including IFRS and IAS 36/38)
• Prepare technical accounting papers and policy documentation to support key decisions and audit requirements
• Lead the accounting for acquisitions, including purchase price allocation and integration
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and statutory accounts
• Monitor changes in IFRS and ensure timely implementation across the business
• Partner with finance teams globally to enhance technical capability and consistency
• Act as a key contact for external auditors on technical matters
• About You
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
• Experience within a large or complex group environment, ideally with exposure to practice (Big 4 / Top 10 preferred)
• Experience in M&A accounting and group reporting
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear guidance
• Proactive, detail focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
