About the role

Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation. Perform a variety of routine and advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures while monitoring and maintaining essential patient safety under general supervision
- Patient Care. Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients throughout the MRI area; educate patients regarding their procedure and maintain a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for the patient throughout the exam
- Documentation. Transfer imaging data for archiving and post-data processing; maintain accountability for proper documentation of exams and related procedures
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or completion of a Radiologic Technology hospital certificate program.
- ARRT Magnetic Resonance Imaging Certification; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT-R) is required within 6 months of employment.
- NYS license in Radiologic Technology required, OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire.
- NYS Injection Certification within 6 months of employment. If hired on or before September 13, 2021, a NYS Injection Certification is required by September 1, 2022.
- BLS Certification within 6 months of employment
- New Graduates:
- An official transcript from an accredited school or a letter emailed directly from the school's registrar's office confirming program completion will be accepted upon graduation.
- Primary source education verification is required within 90 days of graduation.

- Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to work with various software applications.

- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
