Yield Engineer (Tuas)

JOB DESCRIPTION Department: Yield Engineering Department Report to: Yield engineering section leader Functional Relationships with: All departments in Murata (TUAS) Singapore POSITION PROFILE: Based in: Singapore The successful candidate will: Primarily work closely with manufacturing to promote yield loss and to optimize total production system through strong collaboration with other departments. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Process Yield loss & Defective rate improvement. Lead team for yield loss improvement activities. Work with cross-functional teams from various department to improve yield performance. Identify yield opportunities and set preliminary yields targets. Prepares reports, publishes findings, and makes presentations to communicate results. Prepare and submit required yield loss monthly reports. (assigned process). Performing deep-dive analysis to identify root causes to meet/exceed the yield targets. New Product or New line initial yield follow up and improve before mass production. Any other tasks assigned by superior. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environment, Health, Safety & Security requirements. ABILITY/COMPETENCY REQUIRED: Degree in Mechanical/Electronics or Electrical Engineering. 2 years of working experience in manufacturing sector is preferred/ Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Excellent analytical skills and self-starter with ability to take ownership of tasks and assignments. Able to work independently and manage stress, eagerness to learn, a team player. Strong communication and good people skills. Able to work well as a team player while being independent and pro-active. Positive attitude in a challenging work environment. Good technical report writing and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft office, Excel, Word, Power point. Familiar with JMP, SPC, Data mining, Statistics, are added advantages. Comfortable to work in clean room environment+ dry room (0% humidity).
