The Job: As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be part of our engineering team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to: - Using statistical analysis and engineering principles, the Mfg. Engineer, troubleshoots manufacturing processes and develops ways to reduce variability in those processes. - Ensures product quality, process capabilities, and cost improvement targets are met. - Designs tooling, gaging and fixturing required to support manufacturing. - Implements Process Controls and conducts statistical root cause analysis to identify ways to improve and maintain acceptable product quality. - Works closely with production, QA and facilities maintenance to troubleshoot and repair problems with production equipment. - Supports capital improvement projects that lead to productivity savings. - Employs LEAN principles and Six Sigma methodologies and develops process improvements with optimal use of manufacturing resources. - Works with suppliers and equipment vendors to gain higher productivity. - Works closely with the Supervisor, Team Leads and Design Engineering to support new product introduction and product upgrades or cost improvement initiatives. - Develops work instructions and routings to achieve the safest, highest quality and most efficient targets are met, by using standard Industrial Engineering Principles. - Works closely with Finance and Materials to ensure correct manufacturing costs, process routings and bill of materials are in place - Collaborate with Operations and HR teams to determine the key training needs to support business objectives and design programs that directly address those needs. You also have: - Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BSIE / BSME / BSMfgE preferred) or 7+ years equivalent experience (significantly and directly related) - 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to CNC turning/milling, Grinding/Polishing and Assembly. Knowledge of Hot or Cold Forging is a plus. - Exposure to General Automation, PLC or CNC programming. - Experience with process validation, FMEA, and risk assessment. - Excellent analytical, structured problem-solving and project management skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a team environment. - A working knowledge of practical statistics - Proficient with Creo, Catia or AutoCAD and knowledgeable of geometric dimensioning & tolerance. - Proficient with MS Word, Power Point and Excel - Excellent written/verbal and presentation skills is a must and communicates effectively with employees at all levels - Earns trust from team members and celebrates successes and is passionate to improve and getting things accomplished. - Consistently demonstrates the highest level of personal ethical conduct and leads with integrity and influences through transparency.
