As a Behavioral Health Music Therapist, you will: - Organizes and conducts therapeutic activities such as dance, music, arts, crafts, social activities, trips, group discussions and special programs in according to what the patients' needs, capabilities, and interests are - Participates in the development of a treatment plan for patients after evaluating the patients based off of their medical records - Documents specialized therapy assessments, treatment plan, and progress notes in the patients' charts - Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff by demonstrating knowledge of safety issues and proper use of equipment and supplies - Assists in ordering and maintaining the Expressive Therapy supplies/equipment - Observes changes in patients' behavior and health condition and reports to RN Qualifications include: - Bachelor's degree in relevant field, Master's degree preferred (e.g. recreation therapy, music therapy, art therapy) - Music Therapy - Requires board certification as MT-BC and licensure in MD as LPMT. Bachelor's degree in music therapy required, Master's degree preferred. - 2 years' experience in acute care psychiatric setting preferred - Board Certification/registration preferred - Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Work Schedule: Employment Type: Full-time Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week Typical Daily Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pm Shift Type: Day Weekend Requirements: Required Holiday Requirements: Follow company holiday calendar Shift Differential Eligible: Yes Pay Range: $26.91 - $39.03 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
