Stays within the guidelines of the NC Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for nurses, Medical and Nursing Policy and Procedures and the regulations and standards set forth by the State, CMS and TJC. The NS administratively and clinically supervises nursing staff personnel on their assigned shift. They must work with management to oversee the daily functioning of the facility but assuring adequate staffing coverage and directing staff as they perform their duties. This position will work 8-hour days, (8:00am-4:30pm), Monday-Friday, occasional weekends and holidays, and on-call This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events. About the Facility: JFK is a 68-bed inpatient treatment facility designed to meet the needs of adults with substance use disorders from the 44 westernmost counties in North Carolina. The facility treats individuals with substance abuse and psychiatric diagnoses. JFK is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations as a Behavioral Health facility and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as an inpatient psychiatric hospital.
