About the role

- Ensure proper patient identification and accurate labeling of all specimens
- Enter and manage laboratory orders within hospital and lab systems
- Prepare and process specimens for clinical and research testing
- Provide a calm and supportive experience for patients during sample collection
- Follow all safety, privacy, and compliance standards
Requirements

- Required Education and Experience
- Associate's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in performing phlebotomy and collection techniques; or
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of an approved Phlebotomy certificate program.
- High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience performing phlebotomy and collection techniques.

- Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
