About the role

We are looking for a tech transactions attorney to join our legal team. This is a strategic role with a mix of both internal- and external-facing responsibilities in an area of increasing importance and growth for Applied Intuition. You will support Sales, Product, and Engineering. You will also have opportunities to expand your role as part of a small legal team in a high growth start up. Our ideal candidate is a business-minded lawyer who is focused on execution, prepared to lead on important deals, and comfortable making thoughtful and creative decisions. The role will require a high degree of self-sufficiency but also someone who enjoys being part of a supportive team dedicated to providing top legal service to our internal clients. You must be willing to roll up your sleeves and be comfortable working in ambiguity. At Applied Intuition, you will: Lead the drafting, structuring, and negotiating of complex commercial and procurement contracts with a diverse range of partners and customers from hardware suppliers, automotive OEMs, and other players in the AV ecosystem Navigate complex flow-down obligations between OEM customer agreements and sub-tier supplier contracts Be a trusted partner to internal business stakeholders on legal matters critical to the growth of the business Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, etc.) to lead key initiatives Support activities related to IP, Product, and Compliance as needed Create and maintain forms, playbooks, and training to improve consistency, execution speed, risk mitigation, and scalability Proactively manage other duties that may arise as part of a small legal team in a high growth start-up We're looking for someone who has: 5+ years of experience Experience structuring, drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including software licenses, manufacturing and supply agreements, and strategic collaborations Demeanor to thrive in a fast-paced sales focused environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities, and adhering to strict deadlines J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one state bar

Requirements

  • Experience with some combination of law firm and in-house work
  • Experience negotiating and drafting IP and material contracts representations in stock purchase, merger, and asset purchase agreements in financings
  • Familiarity with automotive industry, supply chain, or tier-1 supplier dynamics
  • Computer science or engineering degree
